Pasang, Young Tibetan Girl
Traveling on foot makes encounters easier. Pasang, playful, blocked my path. This is my first oil portrait, and it went through multiple stages: I started by laying down the values of her clothes and then layered transparent acrylic paint. The madder lake works well for this exercise. The background was more challenging to complete. I began with a typical regional motif, which I then blended under layers of oil paint, allowing them to flow and drip for a washed-out effect, while preserving the transparency of the colors.
