Friendship

This painting features three young Nepalese children I met in Nepal. Their posture is something universal, representing childhood everywhere in the world. One child is focused on unwrapping his candy, while his friends stand nearby, sharing the moment. They live in their own world, free from the constraints of time or space. The portraits are finely painted in oil with brushes, and the background is created with thick knife strokes, using a mix of yellow ochre and titanium white.
